Psycho-Spiritual Therapy

Do you think or feel that there is something more to your life,
a purpose that you can’t quite put your finger on?

Have you ever wondered about that deep yearning within you that knows that you have a unique and joyful purpose on the Earth, but you can’t put your finger on it? Most people who seek my help have a longing to find out what that unique purpose is, to name it with clarity, and step into that powerful and joyful place which is their birthright. The focus of my work–with adults individually and in small groups–is to help you identify and remove obstacles to your experience of your birthright.

Or, do you already know your purpose, but recognize patterns of thinking and behaviors that interfere with your achievement of your goals and personal potential?

Others of you reading this already know you have a purpose and can identify it. Some of you are healers, social justice activists, clergy, racial equity mobilizers and organizers, educators, artists, and—in general–people who are change agents, contributing to positive developments within people, institutions, and systems.

You know that the change you want in individuals, families, schools, workplaces, communities, and society must begin with you. You have embarked on the road of transformation, but are now feeling stuck. Perhaps you’re wondering if aspects or qualities of yourself have been obstacles to all that you hope to achieve, causing you “to miss the mark.” Unconscious patterns of behaviors and thinking can block us from achieving our dreams and goals, and from stepping into our full potential and power.

Please consider this:
Is it not your time to identify and live your purpose and your birthright?
I think it would be exciting for you and me to talk about this!

In my work with people who seek this clarity, I offer a combination of spiritual guidance and the science of psychotherapy. What does that look like? With my assistance, my clients explore divine presence and activity in the concerns or challenges with which they are struggling, so that they can become more aware and make a more informed and intentional response to those concerns.
The combination of spiritual guidance and psychotherapy includes:

  • spiritual awareness
  • discernment
  • acknowledgment of ancient wisdom
  • current solution-focused, healing-centered scientific knowledge

The seamless integration of these can be personally and professionally transformative. It can help you become acquainted with the profoundly loving, wise, and compassionate “Yes!” to life that you were born with, and to which your truest, most essential self is intimately connected. I believe that the union of spiritual guidance and psychotherapy serves as a needed sacred container that holds the transformative work of my clients and I in a sacred trust.

It is also important to convey to you that my work is nondenominational and nonsectarian. I honor the many names used by my clients in reference to the divine. I respect my clients’ spiritual and religious traditions and practices.

I am a skillful and deeply compassionate healer, attending to the well-being of your mind, body, and spirit as a whole. I have a profound respect for the wisdom inherent in your soul, some of which you’ve acquired from being wounded. I will assist your awareness of any unconscious patterns of behaviors and thinking that may be blocking you from fully achieving your dreams and goals, and from stepping into your full potential and power. I will equally help you discover your strengths and resilience, and how to develop them more fully.

You need not feel alone or without available help.

I am a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and solution-focused psycho-spiritual therapist. Typically, my healing sessions are highly interactive. I love my work!

It may also be helpful for you to know that along my own life journey, I have been acquainted with my own “dark night of the soul” and have benefitted from innumerable caring and wise teachers and “the great cloud of witnesses.” All of these have taught me that I am ultimately responsible for my own transformation—that is, my own becoming. Most importantly, they have taught me that I am never alone on this journey or without available help. These “dark nights” have humbled me to deeply respect the rough and intimidating terrain of human experience, as well as its smooth and breath-taking vistas. I have known both, and I offer to you the wisdom I’ve gained from these experiences to help you uncover the gems of your being.
